Chromax contains 1% carbon, 5% chromium, 0.5% vanadium and 1.2% molybdenum. Hardened to HRC64, it provides very good edge retention with a similar cutting feel to blue steel. Although it cannot be considered as stainless, it does contain 5% chromium which gives some resistance to corrosion. Wipe the blade dry and it should not have much problem.
